Dr. Cameron Freelove began his academic journey at the University of California San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering with a premedical focus. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of the Pacific, where he graduated with honors and held leadership positions in professional dental organizations.
He furthered his specialization by earning a Certificate in Orthodontics and an MS in Craniofacial Biology from the University of Southern California. During his time at USC, he also received advanced training in orthodontic biomechanics, clinical diagnostics, and private practice development.
Dr. Freelove is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and has completed several specialized orthodontic training programs, including:
- The Aligner Intensive Fellowship – comprehensive training in Invisalign biomechanics and treatment planning.
- Charles H. Tweed Course – a rigorous, ten-day immersion in advanced wire mechanics and diagnosis.
- McLaughlin Orthodontic System – focused training in treatment planning for complex orthodontic cases.
- USC Orthodontic Practice Management – a year-long curriculum in marketing, operations, and private practice growth.
He is proficient in modern orthodontic systems including .018 and .022 bracket systems, self-ligating brackets, clear aligners, InSmile, formerly InBrace lingual appliances, and surgical orthodontics.

- UCSD Free Dental Clinic: pediatric care for underserved communities
- Dental Health Ambassadors: oral health outreach in schools and shelters
- Leadership roles in student-run clinics and service organizations throughout his academic career
He continues this spirit of giving back through outreach and support for youth oral health in the Greater Seattle area.
Dr. Freelove is a former team captain and president of the UCSD Men’s Rugby Team. His love for sports, leadership, and team collaboration continues to shape his approach to life and practice. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, volunteering, and spending time with his family.

Katie — Treatment Coordinator
Katie joined Freelove Orthodontics after more than 10 years in healthcare, drawn by the chance to be part of a positive, patient-focused practice where she could build real relationships. As our Treatment Coordinator, she’s the friendly face who helps make the whole process feel easy — from that first consultation all the way through getting started, answering questions and explaining the “what, why, and how” along the way.
Katie grew up in West Seattle and now lives life at full speed with her husband, their two boys, and their dog. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her in the water (she’s always up for a swim or water sport), thrifting, getting a new tattoo, or baking a fresh loaf of sourdough.
Having been an orthodontic patient herself, Katie understands the nerves that can come with that first visit. “You’re not alone — I’m here to help, answer your questions, and make the whole experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.”

Carmen — Orthodontic Assistant
Carmen brings a warm, easygoing energy to the office every day. She loves getting to know each patient, hearing about the things that make them happy, and being part of the team that helps people feel comfortable from the moment they walk in.
Carmen grew up in Vallejo, California. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, decorating her space, and trying new restaurants around town — and she’s rarely without her mini goldendoodle, who goes just about everywhere with her.
One of Carmen’s favorite parts of the job is watching patients finish treatment and seeing how proud and accomplished they feel. “We are all here to support you, and we’ll explain everything so you know what’s going on — it makes the whole thing a lot less scary.”

Bailey — Orthodontic Assistant
Bailey was drawn to orthodontics by a genuine curiosity to learn everything there is to know about teeth and how a great smile comes together. Her favorite part of the job is watching a patient fall in love with their new smile — and she treats every patient exactly how she’d want to be treated herself.
Bailey grew up in Puyallup and has a love for the outdoors — camping, fishing, and traveling top her list of favorite things to do outside of work. She’s also an avid reader, getting through more than 100 books a year.
What stands out most to Bailey about working here is how supportive the team is with one another, which carries over into how patients are treated too. “I understand that you’re nervous, but I’m here to answer all your questions and help you with anything I can.”

Delainey — Orthodontic Assistant
Delainey’s own experience as an orthodontic patient is what led her to this career — she remembers how well her assistants and doctors treated her, and she knew she wanted to help others feel that same confidence in their own smiles. What she loves most is the relationship she builds with each patient along the way, watching their smile transform and knowing she played a part in it.
Delainey grew up in Auburn, Washington. Outside of work, she loves spending time with friends — whether that’s going to concerts, paddleboarding, or playing a game of billiards. Fun fact: she once had two pet rabbits and two geckos.
Delainey especially loves seeing how the whole team connects with patients day to day. For anyone feeling nervous about their first visit, she wants them to know: “We are with you every step of the way and will never do anything you aren’t okay with.”

Nicole — Scheduling & Financial Coordinator
Nicole came to orthodontics looking for something new and different after a long career at Nordstrom— and she’s found real joy in getting to know each patient and their family throughout treatment.
Nicole grew up in Washington and outside of work loves relaxing with family and curling up with a good book. Before joining the team, she spent 32 years at Nordstrom — a fun fact that often surprises patients when they hear it.
Having gone through orthodontic treatment herself twice, Nicole understands exactly what patients are feeling when they walk in nervous.
Her advice: “I’ve had treatment twice in my life. If I can do it, you can too.”
